The best thing about my second job here at CorvetteBlogger is that it finally allows me to put the countless hours that I spend browsing online car marketplaces to good use. If I were closer to my prime-earning years and/or came into a large amount of cheddar cheese through the lottery, inheritance, or collecting the bounty on John Wick, the following Corvettes (and a few surprises) would be a must for my collection.

Anonymously Donated 1954 ‘Entombed’ Corvette Joins the National Corvette Museum’s Collection

National Corvette Museum officials are planning a big display for the 1954 Chevy known as the “Entombed Corvette” that has recently been donated to them.

We’ve told you before about this Corvette that, of course, is from the second year of production but is most significant for its unusual past.

The Corvette Museum Will Now Install the High Wing and Ground Effects During Museum Deliveries

Several months ago, we shared information about the 2020 Corvette High Wing LPO option not being available with your 2020 Corvette when taking R8C Museum Delivery. The high wing option had generated a high level of interest following the reveal of the 2020 Corvette and many had hopes that the National Corvette Museum would be able to install the high wing for R8C delivery.

[PICS] New Tonawanda Pride Badge To Be Featured on the C8 Corvette’s LT2 V8 Engine

Back in July we shared General Motors’ announcement that the Tonawanda, NY engine plant would produce the 495hp LT2 engine for the 2020+ Corvette.

During that July press conference in New York, Mark Ruess mentioned a “Tonawanda Pride” sticker that would adorn the rocker covers on each LT2. Earlier this week we gained some more insight about that throwback sticker during Chevrolet’s Powertrain Briefing at their Performance and Racing Center.

The C8.R will be facing its first test at the Rolex 24 at Daytona which only two months way when you factor in that we’ll the car at the Roar Before the 24 in early January.

GM to Reopen 2020 Corvette Ordering in December and Kills Planned Production Ramp-Up Schedule

We finally got some good news regarding the ordering and production of the 2020 Corvette Stingray via our friends at Kerbeck Corvette in Atlantic City. Here’s the latest info on constraints, dealer ordering and even some more good news regarding the ordering of the 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible.

Before the start of the strike, Chevrolet was expected to open the ordering process is September (which they did) and then there would be one order submission period per month from September through December.

Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club, home of the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School, is located less than hour from Las Vegas and they bring a continent of cars and people to the annual SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Drivers for Ron Fellows School provide hot laps for the attendees which is hella fun if you have ever had the opportunity to catch a ride in one of the ZR1s they have.

[VIDEO] Baltimore Police Release Footage of NFL’s Alex Collins Arrest Following Corvette Crash

Check out this intriguing video of the arrest of former NFL running back Alex Collins, whose troubles skyrocketed after he crashed his black C7 Corvette convertible in March near the Baltimore Ravens’ practice facility in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Now, bodycam video from the arresting officer has been obtained by TMZ Sports and reveals a courteous Collins explaining to the policeman on the scene that it had been snowing and he slid off the road in his Corvette about an hour and a half earlier around 4 a.m.

2020 Corvette Stingary is Capable of Receiving Over-the-Air Updates

Some folks might be delaying the purchase of the 2020 Corvette Stingray, fearing that subsequent models might have major improvements that would make their first-year C8s obsolete.

While there may well be some options that become available during the eighth-generation’s run and require actual physical changes to the car’s inner workings, it’s good to know that the new Corvette’s Global B electrical architecture will allow over-the-air updates to software, without actually bringing the car to the dealership for the work – similar to the way Teslas have been doing with an active internet connection.

[ACCIDENT] C5 Corvette Driver Injured in New Zealand Crash

Photo Credit: news reports say the man was in stable condition with serious injuries at Wellington Regional Hospital on Saturday.

A photo from the scene shows the Corvette hanging somewhat precariously on the edge of the road, with waves in Sunshine Bay crashing just a few feet below.

A witness to the crash traveling in the opposite direction said the Corvette suddenly skidded out and smashed into the pole on its right side.

The event itself offered a (very) deep dive into all the dirty details of the LT2 engine, the 8-speed DCT, and other components that propel the 2020 Corvette Stingray.

OFFICIAL: The 2020 Corvette Stingray Goes 0-60 MPH in 2.9 Seconds; Runs Quarter Mile in 11.2 @ 121 MPH

Chevrolet today revealed the long-awaited performance figures for the 2020 Corvette Stingray. While the various magazines and websites have been releasing their numbers, we’ve finally gotten the official word straight from Chevrolet.

The 2020 Stingray with the Z51 package will hit 60mph in 2.9 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 121mph.

As the 2020 Corvette Stingray is still in its-preproduction phase, we opted to pass on attending the SEMA Show this year. But we knew friends of ours would be out there so we are still able to bring some great views of the 2020 Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible showcased with the Corvette C8.R at the Chevrolet display.
