Why do we require the login and CAPTCHA code?
Unfortunately, in today's internet there is so much hacking, spoofing and identity theft, that we had to lock down our site. We store members email address, home address and phone numbers on our site. Plus we disclose meetup locations and hotels where we are staying when we are on two and three day cruises. For that matter, we list all cruises, who is attending, and how long we are gone. Allowing this information to be public, by not having a user login requirement would allow anyone to know when our members won't be home. This is simply unacceptable. Therefore, we require username, password and the CAPTCHA code for entry into the site. This extra layer of security, even though cumbersome at times, helps us keep you and your information secure. There is no such thing as a 100% secure system. We could still get hacked by savvy and knowledgeable hackers. Our data could be stolen. However, we are doing everything we can to keep our site and data secure.
